Skincare na quarentena: futilidade ou saúde mental? Por Marie Declercq
Durante a quarentena, a rotina mais trivial pode ajudar a mente a se organizar. Tem gente que decidiu começar a fazer pão, aprender a bordar, malhar em casa ou inserir algum ritual novo no dia a dia.
Sou um pouco obsessiva com pele e meu limite pra skincare acaba sendo a grana. Quando fica muito surreal o tanto que gasto, eu paro”, comenta Vidal sobre os produtos diários que usa para o rosto.
Ester Ganev prefere focar em produtos naturais e caseiros. "Gosto de skincare porque é ritualístico. Gosto de poder reutilizar coisas que seriam consideradas lixo, como cascas de frutas.”
A rotina de beleza que Vidal segue é baseada nos cuidados das sul-coreanas e exige muita dedicação, paciência e disciplina. É um ritual quase espartano.
A Coreia do Sul tem se destacado no bilionário ramo da beleza. Dominado pelos norte-americanos e europeus, o mercado de cosméticos já sente o apelo de seus produtos de cuidados com a pele e rituais. Das embalagens pop e elegantes à matérias-primas "naturais", como carvão ativado, mel e frutas exóticas, o skincare coreano é resultado de um maciço investimento do governo daquele país em indústria criativa e "soft power". A primeira coisa que faço ao acordar é ir ao banheiro para fazer a minha rotina. o o filtro solar mesmo pra ficar dentro de casa. Tem dias que fico quase uma hora no rosto fazendo massagem, máscara", conta Vidal.
No café da manhã, capricho na vitamina C para poder aumentar minha imunidade. Usando a casca que sobrou, fiz uma velinha para perfurmar a casa e a outra casca mergulho no vinagre para fazer um desinfetante natural.”

Engana-se quem acha que é preciso desembolsar muito dinheiro para cuidar da pele. No caso de Ganev, ingredientes como borra de café e clara de ovo integram sua rotina de beleza.
Depois de limpar a pele, Vidal usa uma máscara facial para fazer um tratamento intensivo da pele. "Tenho pouca rotina na minha vida, porque trabalho com cinema. Nada dá certo de manter para mim, exceto skincare", conta.
Na quarentena, esse ritual virou um centro de normalidade. Acordo e faço minha rotina, acertando minha cabeça pro resto do dia. É uma linha de organização.”
Ganev, que é mãe solo, tenta encaixar a skincare com a rotina de casa para conseguir se organizar. "Gosto de varrer a casa usando essa máscara de cúrcuma e clara de ovos que sobrou do ovo que comi de manhã”, diz ao TAB.
Fazer um pão, ter uma rotina de skincare ou tirar um tempo para ler, ver uma série ou escutar um disco são marcadores de um tempo que a a ter um significado próprio para aquela pessoa." Amanda Mont'Alvão Veloso, psicanalista
Uma das práticas que Ganev gosta de fazer é uma "sauninha" (vaporização para limpeza de pele) com infusão de alecrim, lavanda ou camomila. "Fiz uma infusão de alecrim para aproveitar as propriedades energizadoras dele e me despertar."
Neurótica por skincare, Vidal conta que o tempo trancada em casa ajudou a lembrar que é bom abrir mão de exageros. “É preciso desencanar da pele perfeita. Nessa quarentena, tenho olhando para menos espelhos e desencanei de procurar problemas no meu rosto."
A gente fica tão enfiado em um esquema de trabalhar que nem doido e quase não temos tempo para fazer algo para nós mesmas. Cuidar da pele é cuidar da minha casca. Não estou buscando um resultado drástico e não acho que vou rejuvenescer. É um amorzinho que faço pra mim.”
